History

The nursery opened in October 2004, we are private owned nursery. Our main goal is to provide a safe environment to support your children to grow and develop from the aged of 3 months to when they graduate Nicki Day nursery and leave us, gaining all the essential knowledge and independent skills needed to progress.

We have a transition programme for children leaving the nursery to start primary school. Parents information meeting is held in November of each year to update parent of how to complete the e admission process to ensure that parents are aware of how to apply for primary school for their child/ren.

We provide the children with three meals per day. Parents whose children attends on the Government funded scheme are asked to pay for their meals separate as this is not included in the government funding.

Ratings

Nicki Day Nursery is 'GOOD' rated nursery by OfSTED with a 5/5 food hygiene in January 2023. Nicki day Nursery can be described as "home away from home", we believe in the morals and values of caring, understanding, passion and strengthen. The nursery operates Monday - Friday expect bank holidays; 9:00am to 3:00pm.

It is a grade 11 listed residential semi detached house. In the Peckham/Camberwell area, in the radar of five primary schools, with a good relationship with St Georges. Walking distance from Children Service Early Help Team and Sunshine House a local assessment centre for children with special needs.

Nicki Day Nursery children and parents are supported through the transition period when first visiting the nursey. Our polices and programmes help with this process, we operate within classrooms in the building, with babies on the 1st floor and 2-4yrs old on the ground floor.
